What motivated you to get tattooed in the first place?

• I've always wanted tattoos, they seemed cool and interesting.

• I got my first tattoo because I thought it was about time to get one and seeing all my friends get tattoos motivated me to go get one.

Do you remember what your first tattoo was?

• My first tattoo was a geometric line art of a wolf’s head. I chose this as my first tattoo because I liked the design and it seemed pretty simple for a first tattoo.

• I don't remember who the artist was, but it was at Atomic Zombie and I was 19 when I got it.

How many tattoos do you currently have?

• I have 15 tattoos.

How do you decide on what type of tattoo design(s) to get prior to booking an appointment?

• I keep a Pinterest board of different tattoo ideas, I usually choose the tattoo idea that I’ve been thinking about the most.

What do you like about the particular style(s) of tattoos that you've chosen to get done?

• I like the line work for the tattoos I've gotten. All the styles are pretty different, but they all go well together. And because they are line work, I can always add to them later.

Do any of your tattoos hold any personal meaning to you that you’d like to share?

• None of my tattoos have any meaning, I got them because I liked the design. I find it hard to place meaning on tattoos, since those meanings can change.

What were some of the most painful spots to get tattooed for you?

• Some of the most painful spots to get tattooed for me are the inner parts of arms and legs since the skin is so soft there and on the ribs.

While getting a tattoo done, how do you prefer to pass the time?

• I prefer to close my eyes and just lay there, sometimes engage in small talk, or listen to music.

Has having tattoos had any impact in your personal life?

• Yes, my parents do not approve of my tattoos.

• For the longest time I had to keep them hidden, because they didn't know. I accidentally forgot to cover up while moving and they found out. Fortunately they don't know about the newer ones I have..

Do you have any favourite tattoos?

• Yes, my favourite tattoos is the tiger on my left forearm and the crane on my upper left arm.
